Liam Gibson
Research Assistant
Liam Gibson is a junior majoring in History, Russian, and Global Affairs. Last fall he presented research on non-military power in the United States, Russia, and China to RAND Corporation. This semester Liam is conducting a systematic review of peer-reviewed literature on the inclusion of the environment in formal peace agreements with Professor Drew Marcantonio.
Liam has spent considerable time honing his Russian language skills. He studied Russian abroad in Georgia during the summer of 2022 and in Kyrgyzstan during the summer of 2023. He is currently serving as the president of the Russian Club and hopes to work in developing nations in the post-Soviet sphere after graduation.
Liam also regularly volunteers at a Boys and Girls Club in South Bend through Campus Ministry's Mercy Works and believes that living Notre Dame's mission to be “a powerful force for good” in the world includes the local South Bend community.
